Hi mates, how's life? been a while huh?
Yupp, i know but i've had other private matters on my mind past 2 months that been more important as i had to suffer from some bad moments cuz my Dad passed away unexpectedly...........

It's 079's Birthday and... " YOU cry if i want to, Cry if i want to! '' or do you luv the sound of Punishment, that makes the difference for me/us still, up till this day?! Well.. if you like it or not, this seems to be MY day so i'll serve you a Birthday Treat that's coming from them more down and dirty HD's inside my collection containing some 079underground a la Carte ready to serve yo' asses!

This the Full PA Cisco dropped at the crowd that night at Heroes Of Techno @ P60 Amstelveen Holland! Well, i guess the flyer fits well enuff to give you an idea about the rest of the evening, or..??

Yiehaaa! here we go with a double treat for all us Advent freakz! Ghehe, searching for Awake Festival stuff i bumped into 2 bigger fishes (what me is concerned whehe) Seems Cisco has recently given his permission for these 2 older rec's from Dutch gigs being 'published' on the web, what a great surprise!! I'm sure there's quite a lot ppl who've been waiting on one of these 2 sets to appear, i know lots liked Cisco @ Extrema Festival, so... What better yard to bomb these files,as standje079's backyard ey?! Whehe.. j|k ;-) Here you go with the 1st one!

Like some recent Cisco footage?? I betcha do, unfortunately biggest part of the 5 mins action is hidden undercover of darkness though. And also the sound is so-so, but euhm well, maybe its just the way things should be.Know what i mean? A case of; Be there or be..?? Square idd,so.. Who of you freaks 's in for a dirty date?! LMAO.. grinning,nah.. guess some of us will meet there soon enough some night(s), OK? 079 just has to go down and dirty, period! But for now Let's GO! Technophonk full flowin, once in capable control of The Advent beats go smoookin' =D
OK, you like some moving live action by Cisco maybe??
Cheers @ RainDog Crew from Roma/Italy for sharing their footage! :-)
So, 079er.. wasn't it that time to kick in some Advent stuff finally?!? =D
Sure, let's start with.... this by request; 2 Tributes 100% The Advent filled, mixed by dutch Dj Dogmatec, another oldie like me who's been luvin' them dope beats by Cisco (and Colin) for several years now ...

Here's the FTWLTG list again with few dates updated + following sets added;
Robin Albers mix from the 2nd show (?) in 1991, Marcello wellknown as host/resident of his Chemistry nights @ Escape Amsterdam ofcourse. Note: not sure about the date, as often the night of that Albers mix (25-11) appears as first show. Any confirmation/info more then welcome!! Erick E 1 of known names of the past decade in the NL mellow/club circuit, Cubic aka Danny, dutch dj, no more info known, Rene v/d Berg dutch, no more info known, and last but not least, Belgium born Eddy De Clercq who moved from Brussels to Amsterdam back in 1977 and is acknowledged to be 1 of the people responsible for Holland's House and Acid scene. Few examples; co-founder of the famous RoXY in Amsterdam in 1986, recorded the first Dutch Houserecord "Dance To The Music" together with Gert van Veen (Quazar). Thx 2 Koetje and others for providing info and/or sets! :-)

By request of a few LS.com mates
here's the full set of 1 of my fuckin' favz Herr Kriek oh yeahh!
A goldie, another one of those special Tresor nights with few unexpected (nice) surprises, i remember it well! (listening Klubradio that is ghehe) Named "B.itch and F.amous" with on Line-up aswell; AeoX with a LivePA, plus the sudden 'unexpected' support on stage, joining 'em none other as mister Bill Youngman himself, doing his stuff on the Mic ("Yo Yo Yo! Mo'Fuckaz!" gheheh =D) So you know the shit got craaazy, muahahaa! That all followed after this little 3 hour start of Kriek.. And closing off the night, Marc Snow on the decks, will give you a pretty good idea of what kinda shit been going down there i guess??! Anyway, here's a great opurtunity to taste a big portion of the atmosphere down @ Tresen back then, and you'll love it Freaksz! ((O)||| Tresor @ it's filthiest Best!! =D
As you probably know i also haven't lost my love for the early oldskool years.. thats why i also regularly up sets and old tapes at oldskool weblog, and thx 2 my mate oldskool there who re-upped 98% of the sets again + a few i did, and ofcourse all who shared their valuable tape-rips the past year, we have most of the FTWLTG sets collection on links to offer for the interested, and few more coming up later :) Hope you like it!
"For Those Who Like To Groove was a legendary but short-lasting radioshow on Radio 3 in The Netherlands and was broadcasted by the AVRO, that was hosted by Robin Albers (Jaydee). The first hour would feature the best new house and techno music, and during the second hour, a DJ would get in the studio and do a guestmix. For those who like to groove was probably one of the most intimate Dutch dance programs of all times. Unfortunately it lasted only for one year... the show received an award for the best national radio program in 1992. Before all of this Robin Albers started the Dutch mixing championships in 1984 and lots of deejays from back then have become todays' stars! "

Tonight, April 6th, the first of 3 nights in a row celebrating Awakenings 10 Year Anniversary is going down. To add some spirit to the old memories mood a lot are in these days, i upped a few sets from the old days period that came to an 'end' saturday Dec 09th 2000, cuz Amsterdam's Gashouder had to be closed for major renovation. It opened its doors again for an Awakenings party in Feb 2005.. Here's a few regulars that been playing Awake, maybe need to add info that Dj Jerome is from Holland but i think more introduction won't be needed with these names huh? And if my freetime lets me, i'll probably try to add few more the coming weeks..
For now, hope you'll like it!

Here we go again.. well yeah, there's also a 'real' /daily life out there huh? ;) so i've been busy at my new job putting in lotsa time and effort,so.. now you know.
Ok then, 2007.. yeah i thought it was time to get back ruff, but some tasty nasty shit is like me aswell, and like some of you know i'm a bassplayer, you'll remember i posted a early Level 42 Live @ Holland perform when i started this log and my taste for the funky soundz of JK & band is also quite logic i guess? Cuz especially basswizzard Stuart Zender from the original line-up duz his shit the way i really like it! Hell Yeah..

But here's a more recent live performance from last year November and as the quality of rip was a quite nice and brite VBR i wanted to put this one on links for ya to enjoy! Can't give direct credits to someone as no info is known to me more then it was originally put out on thé JK fansite (I think is fair to say) Google makes the world go round, plz help yaself.. ;) hint: running for over 10 years now engined by dedicated fan(s) ofcourse and as often without commercial goals so expenses all by theirself. Thats the reason i upped it on rapidshare, if you know what i mean.

Hope ya like it and special shouts 2 my colleague from work Hilko ;-)

Another year of partying and all has passed but.. don't fall asleep this coming year ghehe, keep them good and stomping parties coming cuz i'm still hungry whoehaha!! Not feeling too old yet for the fun, so...
Also basicly 1 year has passed now since i started blogging, and i'm actually interested in hearing some of your thoughts/remarks on it all. Why is that? Well, as i'm a bit short with my free/spare-time these days, i wanna know if all hours effort i put into all this is still worth doing so, if you know what i mean. There's enough of you checking things out here i know, that's not the problem. But things didn't get much more/different as being just another place that is kicking some links/music, anyway not many talk about music and sets appearing as i hoped for at the start... Links fora's and places you can find everywhere nowadays, don't really see the need to keep things here running in that perspective. If you know your way on the web you also could have noticed this spot always been good for a few sets to find first hand/that where not posted yet.. (thats anyway what i think) But again, there's enough places already to find stuff, where ppl can put on much more as they often can concentrate all their freetime on the blogs, sometimes doing it all with few ppl. I myself am occupied with several places every day as you maybe know, and this place was always a side-thing for me. Not that it's less important for me or whatever, surely not! But....
I'm not sure myself what to do yet.. i love doing this shit as long it's giving me a bit feeling it's a story that's coming from 2 sides, so some replies could be helpfull in my decision for that matter and surely appreciated!

Here's 4 sets from last years only Houseqlassics edition, last November at a sold out Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. What to expect?
With all 4 sets being from the Main/Blackbox Area this means basicly stylez ranging between oldskool house/classics of the harder type to early rave/hardcore. Miss Monica keeping it bit more relaxed on the bpm's, then both DJ Yves and Stanton going that whole range in their sets. DJ Stanton is my fav oldskool dj i tell ya! Also known as DJ Robert in those days, he was 1 of the old Parkzicht Rotterdam residents. Parkzicht is one of Holland's reknown Housetemples from the past, and was one of those places i loved to spend my (late) nightly hours together with few of my best mates!! Back to Stanton, i like him best when he plays fully old days stuff sets with a lil bit oldskool hiphop, hiphouse, house/clubclassics and few techno classics like early Beltram on R&S label for example. Imo you won't beat him if given a few hours to take you on a trip back to memory lane. Interested in a 10hrs trip?? Then you should check here for a sec! Ok,last but not least 1 of Belgium's retro heroes Franky Jones more or less going early rave/retro full-on. Have fun!

...seems like Santa was in a dancing mood this year ghehe, cuz he left a selection of sets that been posted at various foras this past year, maybe there's something for you. Grab what you like don't wait too long, now it's still online guys! ;-)

Enjoy my friends, and have a PHAT NEW YEAR !!
Yumm yumm, seems Santa left a few goodies on my log, so lets start with this 3 hour goodie from FUSE Club Brussels, featuring Christian Smith and Psychogene!

Unfortunately during these Xmas days the music community suffered a tragic loss with the Godfather of Soul passing away last monday..... I noticed the James Brown Mixtape link was already deleted so i re-upped it again as a tribute to him. Enjoy some of music's funkiest memories, people ...

WOOOT
Cisco rocked da place again bit like the old days at last Awakenings in the Gashouder, shame i had to miss it! but Westergas and us,well, there's this own decision Ban we never go there anymore since 09/12/2000... we'll see, maybe i'll be there some day, maybe not.. but its not about my ass, its about some fine-ass LivePA action by The Advent right here! So enjoy my friends!

Here's something else for a change, going into the DnB area with not the least of em all: mister Goldie, you know wazzup guys!

Enjoy
Wazzup wazzup?!
Here we go.. this 1 needed a re-upp as the link was down already; the 2005 Live teachin action by The Blastmaster KRS-One and company in Kopenhagen Denmark. Filling the requests by Gijs and Faridah plus as sorta lil' welcome back dedicated to my old DC boss Steve107 who turned up on web again recently! :)
Finally then.. a dope set with a length that would do my Detroit favourite right! Not only does his view on things/the bizz and all appeal to me, also DJ Bone's flow been one i liked already for a longer time; not just mixing it, also a bit of action behind the (3) decks. Not playing safe, not holding back. Regardless of whatever mr boo or bah-perfect may say, i digg it, simple as that. Well.. i got an oldskool Hiphop past (LOL its filled with several spraypainted colours & fumes so to speak) Maybe there's this 'urge' coming from to wanna see at least some action whenever a dj's playing... Anyways, here he is as featured on the Third Ear Presents Detroit Radio show at Samurai.FM (once again they're kicking it :)) Enjoy the ride!

" DJ Bone is one of Detroit's most coveted underground vinyl technicians, and winner of numerous awards. This very talented and highly sought after artist plays events and clubs worldwide, has held a residency position at four of Detroit's top clubs, and produces music inspired by the city of Detroit.
His record labels Subject Detroit and Encounter release futuristic and soulful music, displaying the true essence of Detroit's Techno Soul. Bone experienced the emotion, passion and energy of Detroit Techno first hand at the famous Music Institute. What he witnessed there, along with the eclectic mix of music filling Detroit's airwaves by the legendary Electrifyin' Mojo and The Wizard, along with Detroit's industrial backdrop, would serve to be Bone's main influences. Bone's residency at the now defunct Motor Lounge in Hamtrammak in the suburbs of Detroit, in its early days, are the stuff of legend. Roadblocked every night, with thousands tuning in to his radio broadcasts. Unhappy with the way the club tried to exploit his pulling power, he resigned. Uncompromising in his approach to music and to the music business, DJ Bone has consistently stayed true to the ethics of the Underground, and should be applauded for that. And of course, for his soulful, celebratory Detroit Techno, appreciated by loyal dancers, listeners, and djs, the world over. "
